Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN)’s Executive committee is reformed every two-year. As a constitution of YPDSN executive team has been approved by General Assembly. Executive committee will be formed of seven to nine members.

President

Mr Ashit B K is President of YPDSN. His responsibilities as a senior member of the executive management team of YPDSN, is to provide leadership to the Board to enhance Board effectiveness. The Board has ultimate accountability for supervision of the management of YPDSN. Critical to meeting this accountability is the relationship among the Board, management, shareholders and other stakeholders. Mr BK, as the presiding member, must oversee that these relationships are effective, efficient and further the best interests of the organization. He provides leadership and governance of the Board to create the conditions for overall the effectiveness of Board and individual Director, and ensures that the Board discusses all key and appropriate issues in a timely manner. He promotes effective relationships and opens communication, and creates an environment that allows constructive debates and challenges, both inside and outside the boardroom, between Non-Executive Directors and the management. Being a trusted advisor to the Board Members, as he develops and implements YPDSN’s strategic plan, developing and managing relationships and communicating with funders, partners, and other stakeholders.  As a board member, he approves YPDSN’s annual budget, audits reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all legal and fiduciary responsibilities. Also, he reviews outcomes and metrics created by YPDSN for evaluating its impact, and regularly measures its performance and effectiveness using those metrics.

Secretary General

Mr. Dipak Tharu is Secretary General of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has 12-year working experience in teaching field. He has graduated in English and Rural Development from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu. He is also holding MA English, MA Anthropology and B.Ed. in English from Tribhuvan University. He is responsible for M&E section, organization development and innovation work, programmes proposal writing and report writing committee leader of YPDSN. He provides administrative and clerical support to the Board, through the timely and accurate collection and sharing of information directly related to its activities. He ensures that the Board is well informed and that its activities are well documented for the use of Board members, the Governance Committee and relevant government bodies. He, representing to Board members, works both individually and collectively in governing YPDSN affairs through the development, approval and evaluation of policy and budget. As a committee member, he provides planning and implementation services to the Board. He acts on the board’s behalf in accordance only with board motions and policy guidelines and only as requested and in accordance with Board resolutions with respect to representation of the Society. He manages and leads staffs at the secretariat of YPDSN to be functioned. He is accountable to members in approval on reports and some documents that are required by donors, stakeholders and government agencies. He signs on staff contract to be representative of YPDSN.

Treasurer

Mr. Manoj Kumar Dhungana is Treasurer of YPDSN. He will oversee the financial matters of the YPDSN in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements and report to the board of directors at regular intervals about the financial health of the organization. He will ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the organization. Despite the additional responsibility, he has been overseeing the financial matters of YPDSN, and therefore he has been liable for the administration of YPDSN. He should report on the current financial position of the charity at each board meeting, and this should be recorded in the minutes.  The report should include an update on funds received and disbursed since the last report. He is responsible to all financial decisions owned should be recorded in the minutes of the meeting.  He oversees, presents budgets, and manages accounts and financial statements to the board of directors. He will ensure that proper accounts and records are kept, ensuring financial resources are spent and invested in line with YPDSN’s policies, good governance, legal and regulatory requirements. He develops and implements financial, reserves and investment policies. He acts as a counter‐signatory on YPDSN cheques and any applications for funds.

Ms. Nabina Ale is Executive Member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN).  Ms Ale has more than 2 -year working experience in NGO sector. She is graduate BBS in Marketing. She is responsible to attend meetings, provide input, vote on issues, communicate with other boards’ members and outside organizations, provide ideas and self-dealing YPDSN’s credibility. The primary responsibility is to see that the YPDSN continues to operate – through funding decisions, compliance with the law, etc. She will play key role to sets policies and strategies for the YPDSN, in line with the agreed purposes, principles and scope of the YPDSN. It also sets operational guidelines, work plans and budgets for the YPDSN and policy and programme support. Ms Ale has assists the internal workings of the YPDSN by setting criteria for membership of, and appointing, review panels and/or support groups. It may also establish a framework for monitoring and periodic independent evaluation of performance and financial accountability of activities supported by the NGO.

Ms Bindu B.K. Baral is an executive member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal. Ms Bindu is actively undertaking her responsibilities to achieve the goal. She is quite dedicated and dutiful member of YPDSN. She has completed her 10+2 in Education and has a good knowledge in operating computer programmes. Similarly, she is well- experienced at different sectors such as marketing, tailoring, and so on. She has 4- year- experience at marketing. She worked at cable service as a marketing officer. She worked at tailoring for 3 months. Also, she worked as a beautician by opening her beauty parlour. She is a very good at decorating and organizing the official activities. She is responsible for creating and approving the budget and for insuring that the budget is raised. She should consider making a direct personal contribution to the budget. She must also be willing to participate in fundraising activities. She is responsible for creating the organization’s identity. This means that she needs to develop or support the organization’s mission, makes decision about program directions, and takes part in long-range planning. She shows much willingness to make a philosophical or emotional commitment to the organization. In other words, she believes in the mission of the organization and help shape or support the vision behind that mission.

Miss Gyanu Ghale is an executive member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal. Miss Gyanu is actively undertaking her duties and responsibilities to achieve the goal. She is quite dedicated and dutiful member of YPDSN. She has completed her PCL in Nursing and has a good knowledge in operating computer programmes. She always stays informed about the organization’s mission, services, policies and programs. Similarly, she reviews agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings along with serving on committees or task forces and offer to take on special assignments. She necessarily suggests possible nominees to the board, who can make significant contributions to the work of the board and the organization. She keeps up-to-date on developments in the organization’s field. She is conscious a lot to follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies and refrains from making special requests of the staff. In addition, she assists the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities, such as reviewing the organization’s annual financial statements. She is much more responsible to determine programmes, which are consistent with the organization’s mission, and monitors their effectiveness. Even, she undertakes responsibilities to secure adequate resources for the organization to fulfill its mission.
