Mr Ashit B.K.

Mr Ashit B.K. is the President of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has more than ten years working experience of social development sector in different I/NGOs and private organizations. He has a good leading capacity in organization, management and capacity to handle the critical situation. He can also play a vital role in team work and fund-raising. He has been working as a section head and administrator chief. Likewise, he has also involved in various research and programmes of Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. Similarly, he has participated in international workshop and conference of youth professionalism. Mr. BK has individually conducted youth professional programme and partnership project for youth development. In addition, he manages an overall function of office, administrative support to the representative by using extensive knowledge of organizational policy with a high level of technical skill. Mr. BK operates with a considerable independent judgment and initiative. He, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality, arranges the calendar of project, and coordinates with internal and external individuals to optimize time and to facilitate the exchange of information.

In addition to his responsibilities as a senior member of the executive management team of the Corporation, he provides leadership to the Board to enhance Board effectiveness. The Board has ultimate accountability for supervision of the management of YPDSN. He must oversee that these relationships are effective, efficient and further the best interests of the Corporation. He provides leadership and governance of the Board so as to create the conditions for overall the effectiveness of Board and individual Director, and also ensures that all key and appropriate issues are discussed by the Board in a timely manner. He promotes effective relationships and opens communication, and creates an environment that allows constructive debates and challenges, both inside and outside the boardroom, between Non-Executive Directors and the management. Being a trusted advisor to the Board Members as he develops and implements YPDSN’s strategic plan, developing and managing relationships and communicating with funders, partners, and other stakeholders.  As a board member, approving YPDSN’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all legal and fiduciary responsibilities. Reviewing outcomes and metrics created by YPDSN for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics.

Periodically, he consults with board members on their roles and helps them assess their performance with planning, presiding over, and facilitating board and committee meetings; collaborating with board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out. Acting as an ambassador for the organization, he ensures YPDSN’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities YPDSN serves. In collaboration with the organization, he generates substantial annual revenue and fosters organization’s overall financial health.  He personally treats with board members as a top philanthropic priority reflected in an annual financial gift. Similarly, he ensures that 100 percent of organization’s board members makes an annual contribution that is commensurated with their capacity. He identifies qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards major individual donors, corporate, and/or foundation gifts.

Mr. Netra KC

Mr. Netra KC is a founder vice-president of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has seven year working experience of Graphic Designing. He is a professional graphic designer working in different designing organization. Regarding his academic qualification, he has completed graduate in Rural Development and English from RR Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He is also holding Master’s Degree in Rural Development from Tri-chandra Campus, Kathmandu Nepal. He has involved in different technological field (CAN), Member of Graphic Designing Association Nepal. He is responsible to support president and fund-raising and institution partnership development. Mr Netra has responsible for Data Management.

Mr. Dipak Tharu

Mr. Dipak Tharu is a Secretary General of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has 12-year- working experience in teaching field. So, he has a good command in both written and spoken English except advocacy, designing programme, good coordination with staffs and so on. He is still working as an English Instructor in different schools and/ or institutes. Besides this, he has worked as a volunteer at Micro Enterprise Development Nepal. He is quite interested in working as a social worker to advance the society and bring about the upliftment of Nepalese livelihood. Therefore, he is keen to contribute to development of individuals and the entire nation. Mr Dipak has been taking responsibility of M&E section, proposal writing and report writing.

He has graduated in English and Rural Development from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu. He is also holding MA English, MA Anthropology and BEd. in English from Tribhuvan University. He is responsible for M&E section, organization development and innovation work, programmes proposal writing and report writing committee leader of YPDSN. He provides administrative and clerical support to the Board, through the timely and accurate collection and sharing of information directly related to its activities. He ensures that the Board is well informed and that its activities are well documented for the use of Board members, the Governance Committee and relevant government bodies. Board members work both individually and collectively in governing YPDSN affairs through the development, approval and evaluation of policy and budget. As a committee member, he provides planning and implementation services to the Board. He acts on the board’s behalf in accordance only with board motions and policy guidelines and only as requested and in accordance with Board resolutions with respect to representation of the Society.

He manages, and leads staff at the secretariat of YPDSN to be functioned. He makes good relationships with member organizations, other NGO networks, government agencies, embassies, UN agencies, national and international NGOs for advocacy base on the decisions from YPDSN members and EC members. He is accountable to members in approval on reports and some documents that are required by donors, stakeholder and government agencies. He signs on staff contract to be representative of YPDSN. He executes the strategic plan, policies and guidelines that is approved by Executive Committee and members and reports regularly the progress and challenge to EC members. He coordinates with members to develop organizational development plan, advocacy plan, child rights monitoring plan and project monitoring plan base on the strategic directions and visions of YPDSN. He initiates and commits in raising funds. He provides clearly orientation and moves forward to organization for supporting staff in order to implement effective indicators. He coordinates to internal and external auditors to audit on financial and progress reports. He develops strategies, annual operational plan, and budget for approval from ECM with consultation to members. He reviews on expense and income of secretariat, program and financial report by monthly, quarterly and annual. He, furthermore, coordinates to submit regular financial and program report to donors and relevant institutions as required. He manages annual staff appraisal and probation period and asks supervision or ideas from ECM for some issues and challenge.

Mr. Janak Raj Adhikari

Mr. Janak Raj Adhikari is a Treasurer of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has good knowledge and skills of an organization management and fund raising and human resource management, coordination as well as motivational power. He has been working for eight years in art and painting. He has also involved in different social organization as a consultant. As for as his academic qualification, he has completed MBS from Adikavi Bhanubhakta Multipul Campus, Tanahun. He is fully dedicated and active in order to lead YPDSN organization. Mr. Adhikari is fully responsible for handling organization operation, finance & human resource and social development sector.

Mr. Hira B.K.

Mr. Hira B.K. is founder member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has Ten year working experience of teaching field in Higher Secondary School. Besides teaching, he’s a secretary of Youth Network. Regarding his academic qualification, he has completed BBS and Bed from Adikavi Bhanubhakta Multipul Campus, Tanahun, Nepal.

Mr. Mekha Bahadur Baral

Mr. Mekha Bahadur Baral is a founder member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has five year working experience of marketing officer. He has travelled Saudi, Dubai, Qatar, Malaysia and Afghanistan for international business expansion. Mr. Baral has graduate Business and marketing from Adikavi Bhanubhakta Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He is fully responsible research project conducting, planning team handling. He has also holding Master Degree in Social Work Adikavi Manubhakta Multiple Campus.

Ms. Tara Basnet

Ms. Tara Basnet is the Founder Member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). She has more than seven working experience of social business and Denmark Dialogue project – informal adult education and teaching, bee farming, seasonal vegetable cultivation training and production support, fruit production like orange, guava farming and storage skill development, electricity house warring and livelihood programming.

She provides services intended to enhance the life of a community or person. She adopts a cause, such as feeding the underprivileged, and most of the revenue is committed to support this cause. She works closely with the board of directors and other top executives to define the mission of the organization. These policy procedures are developed, planned and enforced so the non-profit can achieve its goals. Under the direction of the board of directors, chief executive officer and president, she leads the daily operation of the organization. She not only leads by example, but outlines the duties and responsibilities of the employees. Her operational management helps ensure that all mission objectives are met.

She focuses on fundraising so as to account a major percentage of the revenue of a non-profit organization. She engages in businesses and citizens to support the cause or mission of the organization. Creating fundraising ideas, implementing fundraising events and personal involvement with the fundraising activities are her important duties. She ensures that all finances are being maintained according to state and federal regulations. Part of this financial duty is oversight of each department’s budget. She also assists in allocating department budgets and redistributing funds to departments that are running over or under budget.

She compiles periodic reports outlining the finances and operational successes or failure of the organization. The reports are submitted to the board of directors and other top executives on an annual, semi-annual or quarterly basis. The reports include suggestions on how to improve the non-profit’s performance. To assist the Chairperson in ensuring that the agreed tasks and functions of the Board are carried out. To preside at meetings of the Board when the Chairperson is not present and ensures that the decisions made are in line with the aims and objectives of YPDSN. To support the Chairperson in their role, taking over some of the Chairpersons work load when necessary or when asked to. Alongside the Chairperson, to represent YPDSN in the community and promote its aims and ideals.  With the Chairperson, she establishes and maintains harmonious relationships with Board members and the Manager, and to encourage effective communication between the organization and the community. She, furthermore, ensures that the Board maintains its emphasis on policy matters and that the authority delegated to any standing committees or staff is properly observed.

Ms. Ganga Rana

Ms. Ganga Rana is a founder member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). She is a staff Nurse working in different hospital, She worked in Om Samaj Hospital and is still working in Sumeru Hospital as a staff Nurse. As for her academic qualification, she has passed PCL in Nursing from Green Tara College of Health Science, Bhainsepati Laliptur, Nepal. She is also holding BSc in Nursing from Green Tara College of Health Science, Bhainsepati Laliptur, Nepal.

Mr. Rabindra Rai

Mr. Rabindra Rai is a founder member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). He has seven year working experience in different I/NGOs and private organizations. He is still working in Health Research and Social Development Forum (HERD) as Administration Assistant and Security Supervisor.

She has more than fifteen year working experience business company and super market. She has worked Bhatbhateni Super Store, Kathmandu, Nepal a office assistant more then five year. She has gain formal education.

Mr. Prabin Shrestha

Mr. Prabin Shrestha is Member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN). Mr. Shrestha is a young psychology and a public health professional. He has more than 10 years of working experiences in the field of health and development in Nepal especially in disease control and behavioral sciences. Mr. Shrestha completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) with Merit from Manchester Metropolitan Unviersity, UK and Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology (MA Psychology) from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. He has also concluded Post Graduate Diploma in Counseling Psychology (PGDCP) from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu.

He is involved in teaching public health and psychology in different colleges of Nepal. He is also associated with different national and international journals as an editor and peer reviewer. He is also involved with different youth related organizations. He was the member of the United States Youth Coucil (USYC) for 2013 in Nepal. He has participated in different national and international level trainings. His interests lies in research, teaching-learning and self-study. He has a great interest in music and traveling.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Dhungana

Mr. Manoj Kumar Dhungana is a member of Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN) and founder and president Dhuku  Youth Club 2063 B.S. Life time member and adviser in other youth and sport clubs.  Mr Dhungana have more than 17 year working experience in different fields. He has teaching at Bhanubhakta Memorial School for five year after SLC as a discipline in-charge and sport teacher. He has worked twelve year as a marketing supervisor in liquor industry. He is always active in social work and sports activities. He has 42 time blood donate. He has coaching international Net ball at Bhanubhakta Memorial School. He has graduate B. Com from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal.
